Some Sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.

"Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire." (Sunan Ibn Majah 3973)

"When a man dies all his good deeds come to an end except three: Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who prays for him" (Sunan an-Nasa'i 3651)

“Save yourself from Hell-fire even by giving half a date-fruit in charity.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1417)

“Allah, the Exalted, says, 'Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5352)

“Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.” (Sahih Muslim 2588)
